The Top 5 Qualities of Successful Online Coaching Clients

Are you thinking about hiring an online health and fitness coach for the first time?! Here are the top 5 things that you can do to ensure you get the most out of your coaching relationship!

Hiring a coach does not equal immediate results. As much as I wish I could take the journey for you, the reality is that committing to a coaching relationship is the first step in the process. You’re in great hands by seeking out a knowledgeable coach who can provide you with the accountability, guidance, and experience to get you where you want to go but you have to be ready to put in the effort. Along the way, there are many steps and processes taken to help you reach your goals. But here are 5 things that you can do specifically to make the most out of your coaching relationship!

top 5 qualities of successful clients

  1. Ask Questions

    • My coaching methodology prioritizes education; I want you to learn as much as humanly possible from your coaching experience. I’ll ask you a ton of questions and I love when clients ask the same of me! This helps you understand why you’re doing what you’re doing which will mean you’re more bought into the process and will more easily incorporate these changes into your lifestyle.

  2. Remain Open Minded

    • In order to make lasting change, being open minded is critical! If you’re married to the way that you were doing things before (i.e. when you weren’t getting results) you’ll prevent yourself from making future progress. Don’t be afraid to try new things!

  3. Provide thoughtful feedback

    • Clients provide feedback (qualitative + quantitative) on a daily and weekly basis. This data is crucial for me to understand how you’re progressing and help you reach your goals. The most successful clients take these check ins seriously and don’t skip them!

  4. Be honest when things get hard

    • It’s inevitable that shit will hit the fan at some point during your coaching relationship and its during these times that I want to hear from you more! The difficult times are when your habits are tested and you need support from your coach the most. Don’t be afraid to be honest and ask for it!

  5. Consistency in the small tasks

    • Every client is focusing on different areas that we build upon weekly/monthly as they progress. We stack small habits together to make big change. Staying consistent with these small habits creates the largest long term impact.

Signing up for coaching doesn’t guarantee results, it just guarantees that you’ll have the roadmap to get there. You still need to take action and implement the plan. Signing up is the first step towards reaching your goals with the help of added accountability, guidance, and expertise that you wouldn’t have if you were doing it on your own. Results happen when you show up and do the work!
